Dr. Ahmed Ameen Al-Obaidi
Dentist & Lead Instructor – BDS, MFDS, DDS, ICOI DIPLOMAT, ABOI DIPLOMAT
Dr. Ameen has more than 20 years of experience in dental surgery and specializes in implant surgery and cosmetic dentistry. He currently operates four successful practice across Ontario, Tomken Dental, Redwood Dental, Sky Dental, and Barton Dental. Over the course of his career he has had the pleasure of working with hundreds of dentists and thousands of patients spanning 4 continents.
Dr. Ameen has a reputation as a dynamic and ambitious professional who actively strives to provide excellent service to his patients and to continuously grow his own knowledge and experience while actively participating in the dental community
Dr. Ali Al-Rubayee
Instructor & Course Coordinator – BDS
Restoring and healing a person’s oral health and bringing out their biggest smile is Dr. Al-Rubayee’s passion. Dr. Al-Rubayee graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery in 2011 and is a proud member of The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, The Ontario Dental Association and The Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Al-Rubayee is the owner of two very successful practices, Disera Dental and Bowmanville Smiles, and an associate dentist at Barton Dental. His commitment to refining his skills and providing comfortable patient care is how he gives back to his own community. Every person who sits in Dr. Al-Rubayee’s chair is treated like family.
Dr. Quyen Su
Periodontist – BMSc, DMD, MSc, Dip Perio, Dip ABP, FRCD(C)
Dr. Quyen Su is a Canadian and American Board-certified Periodontist who offers comprehensive periodontal care, with a special interest in soft tissue grafting and dental implant therapy. Dr. Su attended Western University where she earned a Bachelor in Medical Science degree and graduated with honors. She moved to magnificent Montreal to complete a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from McGill University, and graduated with distinction.
She then proceeded to complete her specialty training at the University of Toronto and successfully obtained her Masters in Periodontology degree. In addition to private practice, she is also involved in teaching at the University of Toronto in the Department of Periodontology.
Dr. Alia El-Mowafy
Anesthesiologist – BDS, MSc, Dip. ADBA
Dr. Alia El-Mowafy attended the Bachelor of Science programme at York University majoring in Psychology and Kinesiology. She went on to complete her degree in Dentistry at Future University in Egypt. It was there that she discovered her interest in anaesthesia, and she decided to enter the Dental Anaesthesia program at the University of Toronto where she completed her master’s degree and specialty training in Dental Anaesthesia. Alia is a board certified Dental Anaesthesiologist.
She practices in the GTA providing anaesthesia for clinicians doing various dental procedures including dental implants and All-on-4 procedures. She also teaches at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto to both undergraduate dental students and graduate residents in the Dental Anaesthesia program.
Nicole Bodnar
Office Management Instructor
Nicole is an office manager at one of Dr. Ameen’s bustling practices,
Redwood Dental in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She calls on her years of experience to manage a full team with a full schedule. Nicole makes it her personal mission to provide the total customer service experience to each patient while managing the seamless flow of information critical to a practice’s accountability and administration.
Nicole is known as a meticulous and detail-oriented office manager. As a leader, she has an open-communication policy that is executed with tactful courtesy.
Lisa Ahuja
Hygienist Instructor
Lisa is a hygienist at
Barton Dental. Another experienced member of Dr. Ameen’s team, she will be providing hands on training to a hygienist from your practice. Lisa has a reputation as a reliable and capable team player with a great attention to detail. Her patients have described her as friendly and attentive with a light touch.
